Top Two Clubs Collide as Ducks & Hawks Meet at Honda Center Tonight
The league-leading Anaheim Ducks (40-13-5, 85 points) face the Chicago Blackhawks (34-10-14, 82 points) tonight at Honda Center in a matchup of the top two clubs in the NHL (by standings points).

The two clubs have a combined record of 74-23-19 (.720 win/points percentage), the best record among competing clubs at this stage of the season in nearly five years. BY THE NUMBERS: Anaheim has gone 22-6-0 in its last 28 games, including a 12-4-0 mark at Honda Center and 10-2-0 road record...the Ducks are 15-1-2 vs. the Pacific Division and a league-best 23-7-2 (.750 points %) vs. the Western Conference...at 40-13-5 for 85 points, Anaheim is riding its best start to a season through 58 games, improving upon the previous mark of 34-16-8 for 76 points in 2006-07...it is also the deepest into a season that the Ducks have ever led the league in points (previously 48 games, 2006-07)...in addition, the club has scored the most goals (189, second in NHL this season) and allowed the fewest (139) through 58 games in club history…in January, Anaheim went 11-3-0 to match a club record for wins in a month for the second month in a row (Dec., 11-1-0).

HOME ADVANTAGE: The Ducks have gone 22-4-2 through 28 games at Honda Center, marking the best home start in club history...Anaheim was the fourth team in 40 NHL seasons (since 1973-74) to record points in each of its first 22-plus home games (20-0-2) from Oct. 13-Jan. 15, joining PHI (19-0-7, 1979-80), NYI (19-0-4, 1978-79) and SJ (20-0-2, 2008-09) in that category...the Ducks, who were the last NHL team to suffer a home loss in regulation this season (Jan. 21 vs. WPG), have gone 12-4-0 in their last 16 home games and earlier set a club record with eight straight home wins to open a season...Anaheim has scored the most goals ever at home through 28 games (102) in club history.

THE GOLDEN STATE: Anaheim, San Jose and Los Angeles account for the first, sixth and 10th best teams (by points) in the NHL…the three California teams combine for a 105-51-17 record in 2013-14 for a .656 win (points) percentage…at home, the three clubs have combined for a 58-18-8 record over 84 contests in California for an .738 win (points) percentage.
