The Ducks set a club record for goals in any period with six tallies in the second frame tonight (previous record was five, set twice).

Ryan Getzlaf
On tonight’s bounce back win
It was big. The guys showed a lot of character coming out and playing the way we did. Our goalie played well, and we chased their goalie. That was good for us.

On the team keeping composure throughout the game
At the end of the game, I can’t take that penalty. Our guys did a great job killing that off. All the credit goes to them.

Mathieu Perreault
On preparing for tonight’s game

We had a really hard practice yesterday, lots of battles and skating. It was a much-needed win for us, especially after what we’ve been going through lately. It wasn’t the prettiest. We don’t like giving up four goals, but we battled hard and blocked a lot of shots. We got it done.

On the emotion level in the third period
It was good. It almost felt like a playoff game. The emotion on the bench got really high. At the end, we got some good penalty kills, and we did the right things to earn the win.

On his scuffle with Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson
He was pushing me in the corner a couple times, so I turned around and gave him a little push. Then he pretty much cross-checks me in the face. It was just battling in the corners.

On the team stepping up in Cam Fowler’s absence
You can’t really replace a guy like that, but the guys stepped up and did a good job. Luca Sbisa, Bryan Allen and those guys did a really good job.
