ANAHEIM DUCKS

Frederik Andersen
On posting back-to-back wins against Colorado and Los Angeles

It was huge to get the Calgary game behind us, and get back to the way we’ve been playing. Getting back to basics. It’s huge to win the week. We can’t get those two points back, but we’re happy about our week.

On the keys to tonight’s victory
Just playing physical and dumping the pucks in and getting behind their d-men. We protected the middle of the ice and protected our house.

Ryan Getzlaf
On tonight’s game

It was a good hockey game. It was back and forth, and a little chippy here and there. Those are the games we need to get used to during the stretch.

On getting depth scoring
Those guys have been working so hard. They do so many good things for us. Our depth has been there all season. It’s nice to see those guys get rewarded.

Patrick Maroon
On earning back-to-back wins

Last night was a character win and we brought that same energy tonight. L.A. is a big, strong, physical team. We gave it everything we had tonight. The boys did a good job.

On his goal
Hampus [Lindholm] made a good play up the wall. I won my battle against Drew Doughty, then Palmy [Kyle Palmieri] came in, followed behind me, he chipped it right to me and I took it right to the net. I tried to feed [Nick] Bonino, and it went off [Jake] Muzzin. I got a lucky bounce. I’ll take any of those.

Head coach Bruce Boudreau
On tonight’s win

It’s going to be tough for the Kings to catch us now. They’re 15 points back with 14 games to go. They were playing so well, I didn’t think they were going to lose another game this year. It was a real important thing for us to come in here and stand our ground against them, and show that we compete against them.

On getting depth scoring
You need depth scoring. If you don’t get it, you’re not going to win. When we were winning regularly, we were getting all four lines contributing, not necessarily on the same night, but if one wasn’t going, the other one would come in. That’s what we need to do.

LOS ANGELES KINGS

Marian Gaborik
On tonight's game

We have to play our game. We struggled in some areas making little plays and have to try to get more quality chances. They called [off] that second goal…touched the goalie before the puck went in, but I don’t know I haven’t seen the replay but it is what it is.

Tyler Toffoli
On tonight's game

It’s playoff hockey right now we’re fighting for points, they’re fighting for points. It was a hard game. I think we didn’t play the best that we could, but I think we know now that the rest of the season here we have to play hard and play the right way. On (Monday) we got to play our game. We got to play the right way. We know they are a fast team they got a lot of skill so we have to play hard and play a strong 60 minutes.

Head coach Darryl Sutter
On tonight's game

We played against a top team in the conference and only scoring one goal and giving up two easy ones.

On Anaheim's two goals
We got beat out of the corner and we got beat at the top of the circles.
