POSTGAME NOTES
Anaheim 5 vs. Vancouver 1
March 29, 2014
Rogers Arena
48-18-8, 104 Standings Points

With a 5-1 victory over Vancouver tonight at Rogers Arena, the Pacific Division-leading Anaheim Ducks earned their 48th victory of 2013-14 to tie the franchise record for wins in a single season.

With a 48-18-8 record, the Ducks have matched the 2006-07 team that finished with a 48-20-14 regular-season mark. In addition, Anaheim broke the club record for most road wins in a single season (23) tonight, also besting the 2006-07 team (22-14-5).

Tonight marked the first time in franchise history that the Ducks have won four games vs. the Canucks in a season series.

POSTGAME QUOTES

Frederik Andersen
On the team’s success in the second of back-to-backs

Every time I get the chance, I’ll try and get a whistle or make a simple play to give everyone the chance to get their legs under themselves. We had so much energy today. We did most of the right things and got it deep. We won the game like that.

Matt Beleskey
On regaining the top spot in the Pacific Division

We just have to play the game we played tonight. We’ve been talking about getting ready for the playoffs and playing a good, sound 60 minutes. That’s what we had tonight.

On the team’s success on the road
We’ve been really good at home, and we’ve been good on the road. It’s just a good year for our team. It’s a great group. I’ve been saying it all year. It’s one of the best teams I’ve ever played with. It’s fun. We’re just getting ready for the ride now.

On getting depth scoring
That’s been our focus. Four lines has been our game all year. That’s when we’re at our best. If we can keep contributing, it helps our team out a lot.
