Gibson Becomes Youngest Goaltender in Franchise History to Start an NHL Game

Gibson has appeared in 45 games with Norfolk this season, posting a 21-17-4 record with a 2.34 goals-against average (GAA), .919 save percentage (SV%) and five shutouts. At the time of his recall (April 6), Gibson ranked third among AHL goalies in GAA, seventh in SV%, second in shutouts and sixth in saves. Among rookie goalies, he led in GAA, tied for first in shutouts, second in SV% and saves (1,141), and ranked fifth in wins.
Selected by Anaheim in the second round (39th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft, Gibson has appeared in 46 career AHL games with a 21-17-4 record with a 2.38 GAA and a .918 SV% with five shutouts. Gibson was named the CCM/AHL Goalie of the Month in October after going 3-1-2 with a 1.44 GAA and .953 SV% in six appearances.
