Ducks Announce 2014-15 Regular Season Schedule
The Ducks will open their 2014 season on the road, Thursday, Oct. 9 at Pittsburgh. Following a four-game road trip, Anaheim will return to Honda Center for its home opener vs. the Minnesota Wild on Friday, Oct. 17 (7:00 p.m.).
The National Hockey League (NHL) today announced the complete regular season schedule for the 2014-15 NHL campaign. The Ducks will open their 2014-15 season on the road, Thursday, Oct. 9 at Pittsburgh. Following a four-game road trip, Anaheim will return to Honda Center for its home opener vs. the Minnesota Wild on Friday, Oct. 17 (7 p.m.).

The Ducks will face five divisional opponents four or five times this season. Additionally, Anaheim will face non-divisional Western Conference opponents three times (seven teams). Every NHL team will visit Honda Center at least one time this season as the Ducks will take on each of the 16 Eastern Conference clubs twice (one home, one away).

Highlights from Anaheim’s home schedule include visits from Original Six opponents on Friday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Jan. 30 vs. Chicago; Monday, Dec. 1 vs. Boston; Wednesday, Jan. 7 vs. NY Rangers; Wednesday, Jan. 14 vs. Toronto; Monday, Feb. 23 vs. Detroit; and Wednesday, Mar. 4 vs. Montreal. In addition, the Ducks will host Los Angeles for three contests at Honda Center on Wednesday, Nov. 12, Friday, Feb. 27 and Wednesday, Mar. 18. Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins are slated to visit Anaheim on Friday, Mar. 6.

The Ducks will host 21 weekend dates in 2014-15, including 11 Friday and 10 Sunday contests. The club will host a season-high eight games at Honda Center in the months of November and January, while December and March will serve as the busiest months overall with 15 games on the club’s schedule (home and road). Anaheim’s longest homestand will be a nine-game stretch at Honda Center from Dec. 28-Jan. 16. The Ducks will embark on three five-game road stretches from Dec. 12-19, Feb. 5-12 and Mar. 22-29. In addition, Anaheim will compete in 12 sets of back-to-back games this season.
