His brother, David (draft eligible in 2015), was an assistant captain for the Czech Republic at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and won a silver medal for his country at the 2014 Under-18 World Championship. He is now an assistant coach with Chomutov after only a few months as head coach of the club’s under-16 team.
"Ondrej is a good mobile skater with speed and acceleration. He's a very good playmaker with excellent puck-handling skills. He needs to bulk up, but he's still a fearless competitor who leads by example." -- Director of European Scouting, Goran Stubb
