About The Rinks Learn to Play Program powered by Ryan Getzlaf & Corey Perry
Now in its fourth year of existence, the program assumed its current name in September 2013 after the Ducks stars committed to join instructional sessions and purchase Bauer equipment for skaters (for keep) who sign up for a hockey program within The Rinks Development Program. Participants receive instruction on the basics of hockey as well as learn how to skate properly during the four-week session run by The Rinks Development Program. Getzlaf and Perry will also make special appearances at Learn to Play events each year. The program is currently available at six Rinks locations (ice and inline). Participants are provided with skates, shoulder and elbow pads, shin guards, a helmet, hockey pants, gloves and a jersey.
