Coyotes-Mighty Ducks Preview

GAME: Phoenix Coyotes (13-11-2) at Anaheim Mighty Ducks (10-11-4).

TIME: Wednesday, 10:30 p.m. EST.

Teemu Selanne has been hard to stop lately.

Selanne and the Anaheim Mighty Ducks now look for their third straight victory when they host the Phoenix Coyotes at Arrowhead Pond.

Selanne extended his goal-scoring streak to four games in Anaheim's 3-1 win Sunday over the Chicago Blackhawks.

"It's one of those things, it's a great feeling as a goal scorer when you can really read the games and the plays to sense where the puck is going to be," said Selanne, who has two-game winners in his current streak.

Selanne last scored goals in five straight games from Jan. 21-31, 2000 during his first stint with the Mighty Ducks.

Anaheim should expect Selanne's solid play against Phoenix to continue. In four games against Phoenix this season, Selanne has three goals and three assists, including a goal in a 2-1 victory Nov. 22.

The Ducks will also have Todd Fedoruk back in the lineup. The left wing served a three-game suspension after a hit Nov. 22 on the Coyotes' Petr Nedved. Fedoruk leads the Ducks in penalty minutes this season.

Phoenix, meanwhile, is looking for its third straight win as well. Curtis Joseph made 34 saves Saturday to lead the Coyotes to a 2-1 home win over the Vancouver Canucks.

Despite Joseph allowing only two goals in two games, coach Wayne Gretzky said backup David LeNeveu will start against Anaheim.

He has appeared in two games this season against the Mighty Ducks, including once on Oct. 23 in relief of Joseph. The rookie is 0-2 with a 3.04 goals-against average and .886 save percentage versus the Ducks.

Left wing Ladislav Nagy has scored in eight of his last nine games, recording five goals and eight assists in that span.

He has eight goals and four assists in 20 career games against Anaheim.
