ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) _ Vinny Prospal and the Anaheim Mighty Ducks took their time getting started against the Minnesota Wild.

Prospal had three goals and an assist in the Mighty Ducks' five-goal third period in a 6-2 victory over the Wild on Friday night in a rematch of the Western Conference final.

``We have to find a way to score somehow,'' Prospal said. ``The scoring has been the story of our season. We have outplayed some teams, but just never scored. That's why we are where we are now.''

Prospal tied it at 2 five minutes into the third, assisted on Joffrey Lupul's go-ahead goal and added two power-play goals after Rob Niedermayer gave Anaheim a 4-2 lead.

Ducks defenseman Niclas Havelid had a career-high four assists, and Sergei Fedorov added three assists.

``They took it to us in the third,'' said Minnesota center Marc Chouinard, who played for the Ducks last season.

The hat trick was the first for Prospal, who has five goals in his last four games.

``It doesn't happen that often,'' Prospal said, laughing.

Anaheim goalie Martin Gerber faced only 11 shots in the game, the lowest shot total ever allowed by the Ducks. The previous mark was 13 in New York against the Rangers on April 2, 1999.

``It's great to see the push and energy level we had,'' said Gerber, 7-0-3 in his past 10 games at The Pond. ``It feels weird when you don't get that many shots.''

Alexander Daigle scored twice for the Wild.

``We got caught in a lot of three-on-twos. They took advantage of that,'' Wild coach Jacques Lemaire said. ``We weren't getting a lot of chances and you start pressing and you get caught.''

Daigle beat Gerber with slap shot midway through the first period, and Petr Sykora tied it with a 50-foot slap shot on a power play at 13:04 of the second. The goal ended an 0-for-27 stretch by Anaheim on the power play in the past nine games.

Daigle made it 2-1 with a power-play goal with 3:28 to play in the second.
