TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -The Anaheim Ducks have started a long trip in great fashion.

Dustin Penner had two goals and the NHL-leading Ducks tied the franchise record with their fifth straight road win, a 4-3 victory over Tampa Bay on Saturday night.

Teemu Selanne and Chris Kunitz added goals for Anaheim, 10-1-2 on the road this season. They also won five in a row on the road from Nov. 26-Dec. 26, 2000.

"We feel that our team can play in any building we want to go into because we're a skating hockey club and we have some size," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said. "We have to establish our forechecking for periods of the game. Tonight we did that."

Anaheim started a five-game road swing with a 6-1 win at Washington on Friday.

"It wasn't pretty, but it was effective," Penner said. "You're not going to play your best game every night, especially on back-to-back games when you're traveling. You just have to find a way to win."

Eric Perrin, Ruslan Fedotenko and Brad Richards scored for Tampa Bay. Vincent Lecavalier had an assist, giving him 11 points during a six-game point streak.

The Lightning have lost five of six. They are 8-9-0 at home.

Penner opened the scoring in the first period and made it 2-1 with a power-play goal at 10:58 of the second.

Selanne extended Anaheim's lead to two when he redirected Andy MacDonald's pass at 12:48. Selanne also had an assist. He has 16 goals and 35 points in his last 21 games.

Fedotenko cut the Lightning deficit to 3-2 with 2:35 to play in the second.

The Ducks went up 4-2 at 2:26 of the third when Kunitz, located behind the net, scored off the skate of Lightning goalie Marc Denis.

"I feel terrible," Denis said. "It ended up as a game-winner. It just can't happen, not at that time of the game."

Richards' rebound goal with 9:50 remaining pulled Tampa Bay to 4-3. The Lightning had a 5-on-3 power play for 1:45 midway through the third, but had just two shots and failed to score.

"That was pretty long, but the guys did a tremendous job in front of me," said Ducks goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere, who made 24 saves. "We won some faceoffs, we cleared the puck and gave them a hard time coming into the zone. And when they did have a shot, it was pretty much a direct shot."

The Lightning went 0-for-5 on the power play. Anaheim converted one of its two opportunities.

Penner put the Ducks up 1-0 during a 2-on-1 at 3:07 of the first. Perrin tied it at 1 with 9:40 left in the period.

"They're a team that's running on high confidence right now," Perrin said of Anaheim. "That's all you need. You need that confidence that you can win every night. Once you've got that, you find ways to win."

Notes: Lecavalier had his five-game goal-scoring streak end. ... Ducks backup goalie Ilya Bryzgalov (slight groin strain) was unavailable for the third consecutive game. ... Lightning RW Martin St. Louis had two assists. He has seven points in the past two games. ... Ducks RW Shawn Thornton had two assists. He has four points in two games since being recalled from Portland of the AHL. ... Denis had 21 saves.
