Video: Game Highlights
The Ducks secured one point in their quick road trip to Phoenix, but they just missed out on another in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Coyotes at Jobing.com Arena.

Corey Perry and Teemu Selanne scored for Anahiem (4-6-2) in regulation, but neither of those forward nor Ryan Getzlaf could beat former Duck goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov in the shootout.

Radim Vrbata was the only player to convert for both teams in three rounds to lead Phoenix to victory. The Coyotes earned their ninth win of October, tying a franchise record.

Selanne gave the Ducks the lead midway through the third period when his shot from the right face-off circle deflected off Bryzgalov's right pad and into the net.

Phoenix tied it 18 seconds later when Vernon Fiddler, untouched and to the left of goalie Jonas Hiller, converted a pass from Sami Lapisto at 10:31 for his second of the season.

The Coyotes went ahead 1-0 in the first. Robert Lang converted Matthew Lombardi's pass for his third goal of the season and second on the power play.

Anaheim used a two-man advantage to tie it in the second. Perry scored from in close for his eighth of the season and second on the power play at 8:01.

The Ducks almost grabbed the lead late in the second, but Bryzgalov stopped Getzlaf in close with 17 seconds remaining.

NOTES: The announced crowd of 6,495 was the smallest of the season. ... Hiller started his third straight game while Jean-Sebastien Giguere remains day to day with a groin injury. ... Perry has four goals in his last three games. ... Lombardi picked up his first point in five games.
