GAME: Anaheim Mighty Ducks (3-4-1) at Los Angeles Kings (6-3-0).
TIME: Tuesday, 10:30 p.m. EDT.
The Los Angeles Kings look to rebound from their first loss in more than a week when they host an Anaheim Mighty Ducks team hoping to improve its play on the road.
Los Angeles had a two-goal lead, but lost 3-2 to the Calgary Flames on Sunday. It was the first-place Kings' first defeat since a 5-2 loss Oct. 13 to Detroit. They've dropped two of three at home after winning their first three at Staples Center.
Luc Robitaille and Derek Armstrong scored first-period goals Sunday for the Kings, who went 1-for-10 on the power play.
Robitaille opened the scoring at 16:13 of the first period, deflecting Joe Corvo's 45-foot slap shot past Kiprusoff for his 656th goal and 545th with the Kings, six short of Marcel Dionne's franchise record.
Kings goalie Mathieu Garon played well, stopping a penalty shot in the third period, but his record fell to 2-3-0.
"I think this might have been the best game Mathieu Garon has played for us," Los Angeles coach Andy Murray said. "It's just too bad he didn't get the result he wanted."
The Mighty Ducks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 5-3 win over Phoenix on Sunday.
Anaheim, though, has lost four straight on the road since opening the season with a 5-3 win at Chicago.
"When you win, you win as a team and when you lose, you lose as a team. We've done enough losing for now," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said.
Petr Sykora, Teemu Selanne and Andy McDonald scored first-period goals for Anaheim on Sunday. Phoenix narrowed the gap to 3-2 in the second, but the Ducks held on.
Anaheim got the decisive score on rookie Jonathan Hedstrom's first NHL goal with 15:19 left. Rob Niedermayer added a power-play goal with 34 seconds remaining on an assist from his brother, Scott.
Mighty Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf, who scored his first NHL goal in a 3-2 loss to the Red Wings on Friday, had two assists against the Coyotes for the first multipoint game of his career.
Anaheim left wing Todd Fedoruk was in Philadelphia on Sunday to attend the funeral of his father-in-law. He's expected to be back for Tuesday's game.
Ducks center Sergei Fedorov sat out his fifth consecutive game with a groin injury. His status for Tuesday is uncertain.
