Ducks Begin Big Road Trip at Calgary
Anaheim Ducks vs. Calgary Flames
DUCKS (34-29-8) at FLAMES (36-27-9)

Last 10: Anaheim 5-4-1; Calgary 6-4-0.

Season Series: This is the fourth and final meeting between the teams. Anaheim took the first two contests on home ice before Calgary responded with a 3-1 victory on Feb. 13 at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

Big Story: Both teams are fighting for their lives down the stretch of the regular season. Calgary enters Tuesday's action four points behind Detroit for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference, while Anaheim -- which has won four straight -- is nine points back.

Team Scope:

Ducks: Anaheim made it four in a row on Sunday night with a 5-2 victory against the Colorado Avalanche at the Honda Center. Teemu Selanne scored his 600th NHL goal in the win.

"If you look, there are only 17 guys that have done it before," Selanne said. "It's a very, unique special group. You need a lot of luck, hard work and great players to play with. I have had all those things. That is why this is possible. It was a big night and we are still in the hunt for the playoffs. I remember the first one like it was yesterday. It was at the Cow Palace against the Sharks. There have been a lot of goals between 1 and 600. Time is flying. It's unbelievable how fast it goes."

Flames: Calgary had an opportunity to extend its winning streak to three games on Sunday, but came up short in a 4-3 loss at Minnesota. Vesa Toskala started in place of No. 1 goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff, but was pulled by coach Brent Sutter after allowing three goals on 12 shots.

"We play a lot of games, we play every two days," coach Brent Sutter said. "Your backup goaltender has got to start at some point in time. We're still going to need him down the stretch here."

Who's Hot: Ducks defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky has notched a point in four straight games, matching a season-high. Jason Blake and Matt Beleskey have scored in back-to-back contests. … Flames forward Eric Nystrom has goals in three consecutive games.

Injury Report: Anaheim forward Bobby Ryan missed Sunday's game due to flu-like symptoms. Joffrey Lupul (back) has resumed skating but won't play Tuesday. … Flames forward Daymond Langkow is recovering after taking a puck in the neck during Sunday's loss to the Wild. Christopher Higgins (undisclosed) and Curtis Glencross (knee) are also out.

Stat Pack: Anaheim is 4-for-8 on the power play in its last two games. … The Flames have scored first in 45 of their 72 games this season. However, they've won only 28 of those contests.

Puck Drop: "It has been, for sure, the toughest year. Every time that I've been healthy I've been enjoying the game so much. I really enjoy this game. The injuries I've had this year, it's tough. At this age, especially healing and recovering, it's so hard." -- Ducks forward Teemu Selanne
