NHL-leading Ducks Take Show on Road vs. Panthers
Anaheim Ducks vs. Florida Panthers

DUCKS (15-3-1) vs. PANTHERS (3-11-4)

TV: PRIME, FS-F

Last 10: Anaheim 8-1-1; Florida 1-5-4

Season series: The NHL-leading Ducks (15-3-1, 31 points) begin a four-game road trip through the Eastern Time Zone beginning at Florida this evening (4:30 p.m. PST, PRIME TICKET/AM 830). The Ducks have won five straight games (5-0-0), the longest active streak in the NHL, and have a standings point streak of nine consecutive games (8-0-1), tied for the longest standings point streak this season (San Jose from Oct. 3-21, also 8-0-1). Anaheim's 31-point start to the season matches the club record through 19 games (also 15-3-1 in 2012-13). Anaheim's league-leading 65 goals overall is the second-best start to a season through 19 games in club history (66, 1995-96). Following tonight's game, the road trip continues with stops in Tampa Bay (Nov. 14, 4:30 p.m.), Carolina (Nov. 15, 4 p.m.) and Pittsburgh (Nov. 18, 4:30 p.m.).

The Anaheim Ducks and Florida Panthers meet for the first of two times in 2013-14. The clubs will close out the season series in Anaheim on March 23 at Honda Center. The Ducks have won three straight games vs. the Panthers dating to Feb. 1, 2010 (also a win on Dec. 1, 2010 at Honda Center, 5-3). All-time, Anaheim is 10-9-4 vs. Florida.

Big story: The Ducks have an active six-game standings point streak (5-0-1) on the road heading into the four-game trip, tied with Chicago and Colorado for the longest streaks this season (all active). The club's six-game streak on the road is the longest since the 2011-12 Ducks recorded a seven-game streak from Jan. 31-Feb. 19. The Ducks are 7-3-1 (15 pts.) on the road overall this season. Anaheim went 5-2-1 on its recent eight-game road trip from Oct. 22-Nov. 4, matching the most wins earned in a single road trip in club history. The Ducks begin the four-game Eastern Conference swing with a six-game road standings point streak (5-0-1) vs. the East, their longest since earning points in seven straight on the road vs. the East from Feb. 5, 2008-Nov. 11, 2009 (7-0-0).

Trending the opposite direction are the Panthers, who host the Ducks trying to avoid a 10-game losing streak for the first time since March 22-April 8, 2011. Florida is close to matching a franchise-high 13-game skid and another loss at BB&T Center will be its sixth straight on home ice.

Team Scope:

Ducks: Corey Perry's goal and assist and rookie goalie Frederik Andersen's 35 saves led the Ducks to a 3-1 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday that extended their record at Honda Center to 8-0-0.

"This team is starting to remind me of our 2006-07 Stanley Cup winner," Perry said. "We have a lot of younger players, but there are also veterans in the room that know what it takes to win a championship. It's all about hard work."

Panthers: Florida committed 10 giveaways Sunday and dropped its ninth straight with a 4-3 loss to the New York Rangers despite defenseman Brian Campbell's first two goals of the season.

"You are not going to win games if you turn pucks over," interim coach Peter Horachek said. "We are not going to get better until we decide we are going to manage the puck better. These are unforced errors. You can't win hockey games that way."

Who's hot: Andersen's 3-0-0 record, 1.33 goals-against average and .958 save percentage earned him the NHL's Second Star of the Week for Nov. 4-10. The rookie is 6-0-0 with a 1.41 GAA and a .952 save percentage. Perry (5g/3a) has a point in each game this month. Ryan Getzlaf has nine points in his past four games with a team-high 22 points on the season.

Injury report: Getzlaf (upper body) missed the game Sunday and is uncertain for Tuesday. Viktor Fasth (lower body) participated in a full practice Saturday. Fasth and Matt Beleskey (upper body) were each sent on a conditioning assignment to Norfolk of the American Hockey League. Sheldon Souray (wrist), Jakob Silfverberg (broken hand) and Saku Koivu (head) are all on injured reserve … Panthers forward Scott Gomez (groin) is questionable. Ed Jovanovski (hip) and Steven Pinizzotto (hip) are on IR.
