ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) _ The Calgary Flames ended the regular season with the league leader in goals and the goalie with the best goals-against average. Neither could get them a win in their finale.

Martin Skoula and Sergei Fedorov scored third period goals, lifting the Anaheim Mighty Ducks to a 2-1 victory over the Flames on Sunday.

Calgary's Jarome Iginla scored his 41st goal of the season in the second period to match Columbus left wing Rick Nash and Atlanta left wing Ilya Kovalchuk for the NHL goal-scoring title.

``It's something I'm very honored to have accomplished,'' Iginla said. ``The guys have been very generous the past couple games to try and get the me the puck so I could get my chances.''

Flames goalie Miikka Kiprusoff made his way into the record books without even playing Sunday. Kiprusoff was given the day off against the Ducks, leaving him with a 1.69 goals against average in 38 games, a new modern era record. Dallas' Marty Turco set the prior record just last season, with a 1.72 in 55 games.

``It's how we play, it's not just my record,'' said Kiprusoff, who also led the league with a .933 save percentage.

He went from being a third-stringer with San Jose earlier this season to a potential Vezina Trophy candidate as the league's top goalie after a Nov. 16 trade.

``I didn't think about numbers. I was just thinking about going somewhere where I was going to get a chance to play,'' Kiprusoff said.

With Kiprusoff out, backup Roman Turek was able to establish a Calgary record for consecutive shutout minutes before the Ducks rallied for the win. Turek had not given up a goal since March 3 at Detroit. He posted a pair of shutouts in the interim and ended with a scoreless stretch of 180:03, besting the prior mark of 160:07 set by Fred Brathwaite in March 2001

``The last game of the season is always special and I really wish I could have hung on for the win,'' Turek said.

Skoula's power play goal with 11:55 to play ended Turek's personal shutout streak while drawing the Ducks even. Fedorov sent a backhand from the slot past Turek to give Anaheim the lead just 1:54 later.

``It was an all right game for us,'' said Fedorov who will not be skating in the playoffs for first time in his 14-year career. ``I guess I feel pretty good about getting the job done today.''

Anaheim fell from being Western Conference champions last season to a twelfth-place finish.

``It's really disappointing,'' Ducks coach Mike Babcock said. ``Imagine what it's going to feel like on (Wednesday) when the other teams are really going to start having fun.''

The Flames ended the regular season in sixth place in the Western Conference and are headed to the playoffs for the first time in eight seasons. They'll play Vancouver.

Anaheim killed a seven-minute Calgary power play in the first period after Flames enforcer Krzysztof Oliwa backed down from fighting Garrett Burnett leading to a five-minute fighting major and a two-minute roughing penalty against Burnett.

The Ducks were working on a second-period power play when Iginla skated down the right wing and beat goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere with a shot from right circle at 9:26.
