EDMONTON (AP) -- In Ryan Getzlaf's mind, his performance against the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night showed he's healthy enough keep his spot with Team Canada at the Vancouver Olympics.

The Ducks center scored twice and added two assists in his first game back from a sprained left ankle as Anaheim beat the Edmonton Oilers 7-3.

"In my mind, it's pretty made up," said Getzlaf of his participation at the Games. "Obviously I would like to be there."

Getzlaf said he would be in contact with Team Canada executive director Steve Yzerman on Sunday night and again Monday morning.

"I haven't had to make many decisions like this. Obviously this one I have to pull back and make sure I'm doing what's right for (the Ducks) and myself as well," Getzlaf added. "If my ankle's fine in the morning, it won't be a hard decision for me."

Saku Koivu, Corey Perry, Scott Niedermayer, George Parros and Bobby Ryan also scored for Anaheim (30-25-7), which trails Calgary by two points for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference as the NHL heads into its Olympic break.

Ryan Potulny, Ethan Moreau and Lubomir Visnovsky replied for the Oilers (19-36-6).

Ducks head coach Randy Carlyle said Getzlaf looked ready for the Olympics against the Oilers.

"He's a very skilled player," said Carlyle. "There's a reason he was selected to Team Canada. He went out and proved he's quite capable of playing to a high level, and he's to be commended.

"To think he would play in this game after reviewing the injury...it's just amazing. It was all up to him."

Getzlaf banged a rebound past Oilers goaltender Jeff Deslauriers off a scramble on the power play at 5:27 of the third period and then added another with the man advantage on a pass from Niedermayer at 16:58.

Deslauriers came up big on the penalty kill for Edmonton early, snapping down the stick to stop Koivu with a wide open cage. But Koivu got revenge a couple minutes later, spinning and wiring a shot past Deslauriers' blocker side.

Edmonton tied the game 1-1 on a 5-on-3 power-play goal at 6:04 of the first, when Potulny slipped the puck through both Hiller and kneeling defender Steve Eminger.

Anaheim replied after Getzlaf sent in a tape-to-tape pass to Perry. His shot clipped the top of Deslauriers' right pad and rolled in.

Niedermayer, Canada's Olympic captain, got on the scoreboard at 5:31 of the second after tipping in Getzlaf's power-play point shot through traffic for his sixth of the season.

Moreau capitalized on a shorthanded chance with less than a minute to go in the second, catching Hiller out of position with a shot from the boards.

Just over five minutes into the third, Parros whipped a shot from the corner that caromed off an Edmonton defender's skate and in for a brief 5-2 lead, but 45 seconds later Visnovsky finished off a tic-tac-toe play to pull Edmonton within two.

Getzlaf's four-point night comes as Philadelphia Flyers forward Jeff Carter is in Vancouver in case the Ducks forward isn't cleared to play for Canada.

"(Carter and I), we haven't talked yet," chuckled Getzlaf when asked if he's received a text from the Flyer.

"His situation, it's a tough one and so is mine. We're good friends and I'm sure it'll be perfectly fine no matter how it turns out."

Notes: It was the second of four meetings this season between the two clubs and second this week.
